I never did manage to get a blog post written for yesterday. I have two half written…one about how much Buzz has grown and changed over the past 3 months and another one about my relationship with his mom through this experience…and I never could bring myself to finish either one. So much emotion swirling around and I’m just not ready to share it yet.

Last night on our maybe last night with Buzz, we got takeout from Calypso Cafe, went out to ice cream at Jeni’s with Grandma and Grandpa, played with bikes and bubbles in the driveway and then had a glow-in-the-dark bath before bed. It was a fun night and I didn’t get teary this time. (Last time I thought it might be his last night with us I started reading him one of my favorite books Sleep, Baby, Sleep at bedtime and I started crying.)

This little ray of sunshine is going to be TWO YEARS OLD tomorrow!! I’m super excited to celebrate my sweet daughter all weekend. Longer post about Ali at age 2 is coming next week.

Tuesday night I got hit with a GI virus and I spent most of the day Wednesday in bed trying to regain my strength and rehydrate. I just wanted to give a big public THANK YOU to my awesome husband who took care of the kids bedtime routine as I was starting to feel sick, then went out to the grocery store at midnight to get medicine and comfort foods for me. He slept on the sofa to minimize germ exposure and got up and got the kids out the door in the morning so I could rest and stay quarantined. Usually most of bedtime routine and morning routine are my responsibility and it’s such a relief to know that he is willing and quite capable of taking over my mom duties when necessary. He’s a good one, that Jason. In sickness and in health.

Today marks 10 years with this guy. TEN! A decade. How did that happen?! We’re still just kids. I am so blessed to do life with this man.

After a busy weekend and two kids up in the middle of the night (one with bronchitis and the other that wanders), Monday morning tried to get the best of me but I kicked it in the teeth. Hi-YA!

Last weekend I actually had this thought, God, I am looking forward to Monday! These two were driving me bonkers and sitting at my quiet but windowless cubicle at work suddenly seemed so appealing. Then I took a break from unloading the dishwasher and peeked around the corner in time to see this. I’d like to think these getting along moments are increasing as they both get more and more adjusted to this new family life.
