[Check out the 2018 Update: Bible Verses for Blessing Your Home]
Before the drywall was installed in our new home, I decided to mark several of the studs throughout the house with certain Bible verses. Some of these verses have to do with the room and the purpose it will serve and some are more personal. I thought I’d share which verses I used in case anyone else out there is looking for ideas like I was…and also for my own reference since these are all sealed up beneath insulation and drywall now.
Entry Doors:
Deuteronomy 28:6
You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
Heart of the Home:
Joshua 24:15
… But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
Kitchen:
Proverbs 30:8-9
Remove falsehood and lies far from me; Give me neither poverty nor riches— Feed me with the food allotted to me; Lest I be full and deny You, And say, “Who is the LORD?” Or lest I be poor and steal, And profane the name of my God.
Dining Room:
Colossians 2:6-7
As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
Living Room:
Psalm 133:1
A song of ascents. Of David. How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!

Master Bedroom:

Bedroom for future foster kids:

Playroom (Den, Spare Bedroom):

Bathrooms:

Office:

Music Room:

I am building a new home for me and my two boys. A friend of mine suggested writing scriptures on the floors. I decided to do that in each room of our new home. As a single mother, I need all the blessings I can get. As I googled this morning to start finding scriptures, I ran across yours and it is absolutely perfect! My husband and I are also building a home after fours years of marriage. We had the foundation Blessed and anointed. I too, like others, wanted scriptures within the home. This is such a great idea. I plan to use these in my home as well as scriptures for the pantry and laundry rooms. Love your spirit and home dedications.

Thanks for sharing the verses.My husband and I have just started our house construction with our 3 children. We have decided to build our house out of faith to God that He will help us and bless us so we can finish it soon. God is really the foundation of this house that we are building. We are building, too, slowly & after 27 years of marriage (but still children at home.) i love the idea of adding the scriptures to the structure, and I also had already planned to do artwork/signs, etc. in the decor of all rooms. What a great selection of verses to be used both ways!!

It’s a wonderful experience to be guided by the Holy Spirit. I have just completed building my home with 95% of work done, i planed to move in with my family and settled, while the remaining work will continue in the remaining 5%.
While I was searching my mind on how to consacrete my home to YHWH in YESHUA HAMASHIACH, my spirit asked me to searche the Google internet for guidance and surely i found your site which provided me with all that was needed for a perfect dedication of my new home and family to YHWH in YESHUA Hamashiach.
